  RECAP | BOX SCORE

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Phil Housley scored with 32 seconds left in overtime, and Jarome Iginla had two goals as the Calgary Flames defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 Saturday night.

The winning goal was set up by Valeri Bure who, playing the puck from behind the Tampa Bay goal, banked the puck off the back of the net and back to himself to elude defenseman Andrei Zyuzin.

Bure then came around in front of the net and sent a back-hand pass across the crease to Housley, who shot high to beat goalie Dan Cloutier.

Iginla banged in the rebound of a Bure shot to tie the game 2-2 at 13:54 of the third.

Cloutier was outstanding in keeping the Lightning in the game. Calgary outshot Tampa Bay 38-17.

The Flames are 9-1-1 in their last 11 home games.

Mike Sillinger and Chris Gratton scored for Tampa Bay, winless in its past 11 (0-9-2).

The Lightning took a 2-1 lead with 1:44 left in the second period. Cloutier denied Hnat Domenichelli from the side of the net and the Lightning broke out of the zone. Darcy Tucker fed Gratton, who got behind defenseman Bobby Dollas, and Gratton's slap shot beat Fred Brathwaite to the glove side.

Tampa Bay tied it 1-1 at 2:06 of the second when Sillinger capped a perfectly executed 3-on-2 rush by one-timing a pass by Bruce Gardiner past Brathwaite.

Iginla scored at 11:47 of the first, deflecting Robyn Regehr's shot past Cloutier.

Calgary lost defenseman Steve Smith with 8:37 left in the third when the Flames captain was taken off the ice on a stretcher after being injured in a freak accident.

While defending a 2-on-1, Smith was falling forward in an attempt to break up the rush, when his head was elbowed by his teammate Dollas, who was scrambling back.

The game was delayed for eight minutes.

Smith was taken to a hospital for precautionary X-rays, but the Flames said he was conscious and had movement in his arms and legs.
