ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Al MacInnis didn't have much to say about his
goal and two assists. He was too busy praising goalie Roman Turek.

"If you look right at the very start of the game, we had some
turnovers and Roman made some big saves," MacInnis said after St.
Louis beat Boston 4-0 Saturday night.
"I don't think we were sharp at all at the start but we got it
going before things got out of hand. Roman has done that a lot for
us this year where he keeps us in the game until we get it going."
Turek made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season and
fourth of his career. He is 11-2-2 in his last 15 starts.
Scott Young, who had two goals, pointed to two early saves.
"They could have gotten the lead, but Roman kept them from
scoring until we got it going," Young said.
The Blues put the game away with two goals during a five-minute
power play early in the final period.
Former Blues forward Joe Murphy was given a five-minute penalty
and ejected for instigating a fight at 3:05.
"It was obviously not the proper time, and I think everybody
knows that," Bruins coach Pat Burns said. "At least he showed some fire and caring."
Burns said he was not impressed with Turek's shutout.
"Those weren't tough saves, we weren't dangerous tonight," Burns said.
But Blues coach Joel Quenneville said Turek played one of is best games of the season.
"He had to make two tough saves early and that's as good as
he's played all year," Quenneville said.
MacInnis scored on a power play at 16:45 of the first period,
firing a slap shot past Byron Dafoe. MacInnis has three goals and
13 assists in 11 games since returning from a broken foot.
Young made it 2-0 midway through the second period, and added
his 10th of the season during the five-minute power play in the
third period. Michal Handzus also scored in the final period.
The Blues are 7-3-1 in their last 11 games, and 4-0-2 against
Boston since Nov. 18, 1995.
